Dinosaur Field School

If you’re an educator, or just interested in learning about dinosaurs and would like to be part of an actual excavation, this summer trip is for you. Annual week long sessions in the Rocky Mountain, high desert country of Montana provide a broad range of experiences in the basic principles of dinosaur paleontology, introductory geology, data collection and field techniques. Exposure to modern ecosystems and regional history is an added bonus. Continuing education credits are available, with the possibility of university course credit (based upon individual school requirements).

For more information visit CMC’s Special Programs and Events - Dig for Dinosaurs web page. For highlights and commentary on past field schools and up-to-date information on the upcoming field program see our Dinosaur Field School Blog.
